The Comedy Store: On The Road is coming to The Paddocks, launching 26 September 2026! Following a £2.3 million refurbishment, The Paddocks is stepping into an exciting new era — and we’re kicking things off with one of the biggest names in UK comedy.

For more than 40 years, The Comedy Store has launched the careers of comedy greats including John Bishop, Jimmy Carr, Rhod Gilbert, and Sarah Millican. Now, their acclaimed Best in Stand-Up shows are coming to Canvey Island!

From 26 September 2026, get ready for:

– A fast-paced mix of top UK comedians

– Rising stars you’ll be bragging you saw first

– High-energy stand-up in an intimate venue

– A brand-new cultural chapter for The Paddocks

The Paddocks has a long history of iconic performances — from early pub‑rock heroes like Dr Feelgood and Lew Lewis, to legendary appearances by the Hot Rods, and even Queen back in 1974. Now, after its transformation, the venue is ready to make history all over again.
